WELCOME to the City of Auburn Self Services

You can now pay your Auburn Water Works Board Utility Bill, renew your City of Auburn Business License, pay your City invoices, and file & pay quarterly reports online.

MAINTENANCE NOTICE:

Due to scheduled maintenance, the Citizen Self Service payment portal and the Vendor Self Service portal will not be available after 5 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025.  All maintenance is expected to be completed by 12:01 am on Friday, November 14, 2025.

Utility Billing Office:

Pay Utility Bill

  • Click Citizen Self Service on the left-hand menu and select Register to create an account using a valid email address and secure password. If you have already created an account for City invoices or business licenses, you may choose to use the same login.
  • Click instructions on how to link your Utility Billing Account(s) to your online account.
  • ATTENTION: All utility customers will need to set up a new online profile. Please use your new 13 digit "Account ID - Customer ID" (replaces the old 8 digit account number).

Revenue Office:

Renew Business License

  • The 2025 City of Auburn Business License can be renewed online beginning January 1, 2025. Business licenses renewed after February 18, 2025 will be assessed a late penalty.
  • Log into to your account, select Citizens Self Services and Business License Taxes to start the renewal process.
  • If you do not have an account .
    • Select sign up and create a user account.
    • Contact the revenue office at [email protected] or 334-501-7239, during normal business hours, to link to the appropriate business license to the user account. PLEASE NOTE, ONLY AUTHORIZED CONTACTS LISTED IN OUR DATABASE WILL BE LINKED TO THE NEW USERNAME.
  • Then proceed as instructed to renew the license.

Pay City Invoices

You can also pay City invoices for items such monthly leased parking and various other billed service (does not include utility bills)

  • To utilize this feature, you will need the invoice mailed to you from the City.
  • Once you have created a user id, click on Citizen Self Service, enter username and password.
  • Click instructions for details on how to utilize this feature.

File & Pay City Taxes

  • Simply create an account using a valid email address and secure password. Once you have created this user account, contact our office at [email protected] or 334-501-7239, during normal business hours, to link your City of Auburn account to your user account.
  • Then proceed as instructed to file and pay city taxes.
